PAIN REDUCTION

People who see the least amount of movement in their lives experience the most amount of pain.

The body craves movement and yoga teaches us the most appropriate ways to move in order to  bring freedom from pain, thus offering more freedom to our lives.


SILENCE THE MIND-MEDITATION

Do the thoughts in your head make you Crazy? You are not alone. The average person has 60,000 thoughts a day and more than 80% are negative.

Meditation is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind. Who among us can’t benefit from a respite from thought? Our yoga is a moving meditation.


BREATH

This is probably the most important reason why you must do yoga now. Our breath is our life. It is an incredible tool for all of us. In yoga we learn how to use the breath to move the body, to free the mind from thought and move through the urge to react to the many stresses that we all face.

Increased strength- flexible people need strength to balance out a natural flexibility and prevent injury.

DO you feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Yoga allows us to begin a process of letting go. Through moving meditation, deep relaxation, laughter, music appreciation and community we find the heavy load of life’s burdens lighten.


I’m a beginner, what do I need?


All you will need is comfortable clothing that you can move in (nothing oversized), an open mind, a willing heart and perhaps a sense of humor.


Do the classes run in cycles?


No. Come any time. The classes are taught to all levels of experience. You can start whenever you are ready.



Why do I have to remove my shoes?


This is an Indian tradition. The practice room is a place to be respected. This process honors the tradition and its roots. It also feels great to leave something behind!


I'm not "athletic and "in shape". Where do I start?

Yoga is ideal for you! Health is the goal. We will teach you how to tune in to what you need in order to take care of yourself.

What if I’m not flexible?

Our process is one where health is the goal. We are looking to stimulate, circulate, breathe, meditate, energize and feel alive.
